Unlike most people who have been in the music business as long as Madonna, the Material Matron has never written a memoir or even released an officially-sanctioned biography.
Well, that’s going to change. Madge is promising that one day, Bedtime Stories won’t be the only kind of tales she’s shared with her fans.
“I’m sure I will one day. I’ve got so many tales to tell,” she told BBC Radio 2 when asked if she would write an autobiography. And when she does tackle the project, she won’t half-ass it.
“If I wrote my book that would be from start to finish. And that’s a whole lot of ground to cover. I think I would tell the stories that I felt were valuable to tell, that were inspiring, that people could relate to. I’m a storyteller, that’s what I think of myself as, I would share stories that I think would inspire people.”
Madonna has previously written a number of children’s books, as well as the insanely controversial (now out-of-print) coffee table book Sex.
While we understand a proper autobiography is no easy task, we’d love to see this happen sooner than later.
