Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has separated from his longtime partner Rachel Owen, Billboard has confirmed.
“After 23 highly creative & happy years, for various reasons we have gone our separate ways,” Yorke said in a statement. “It’s perfectly amicable & has been common knowledge for some time.”
Yorke and Owen, a printmaker in England, met at the University of Exeter. The former couple has two children together. No further details about the split were given.
While Radiohead continues to work on its next album, Yorke has recently shared some new solo material. On Aug. 13, the artist played three new songs for the first time during a concert in Tokyo.
Yorke has also revealed that he’s providing original music for a new Broadway presentation of the 1971 Harold Pinter play Old Times.
