Forbes recently released the list of World’s Highest-Paid Women in Music and Taylor Swift took the cake with no hesitation raking in $170 million in the past year, replacing Katy Perry who previously held the position.
Taylor Swift celebrated her debut self-titled album’s 10th anniversary on Oct. 24, and her decade since being onto the music scene. The singer has vigorously been building to this moment from having top-charting Billboard 200 albums, a slew of endorsements and business partnerships, and top-grossing tours, like her most recent 1989 tour, which drew in over $200 million.
Adele trails behind Taylor Swift with $80.5 million, most of her wealth stemming from her album sales and her Rebel Heart tour which racked in over $170 million. Madonna comes in at No. 3 with $76.5 million, Rihanna’s $75 million takes the No. 4 slot, and Beyonce takes number five with $54 million.
