Hailee Steinfeld Sings About A Plastic Bag With James Corden For ‘First Line, Every Line’

In the segment “First Line, Every Line” on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the first line from a popular song is the focal point as Corden challenges his celebrity guests to sing the first line for the song’s entirety. His latest recruit was Hailee Steinfeld, who took the stage on Thurs. night (Nov. 10) for a one-line rendition of Katy Perry’s “Firework.”

“Do you ever feel like a plastic bag,” Steinfeld belted repeatedly while still sticking to the original melody. Corden opted to sing Adele’s “Someone Like You” where he crooned the lyric “I heard that your settled down” over and over. Steinfeld and Corden ended the game with a duet singing “Life is a mystery” from Madonna’s “Like A Prayer”.
